Ups and Downs

The past week and a half has been a typical spring. Warm a couple days..... cool a couple days. The fishing down towards Hatteras has been pretty consistent both from the beach and by boat. Up our way, things are starting to happen, but it is a little on the slow side. There have been reports of scattered Bluefish in the Inlet and back in the sound, and some bottom fish around as well. The next couple of weeks things will start to really get going as the water temps rise and the fish work our way. Off the beach, Tuna are around, you just need to be in the right place at the right time. The Dolphin fishing is right around the corner..... all in all GET READY!!!! Good Signs all around

We have been waiting for a good report of some fish around the inlet and sound. I have heard reports of a nice class of Bluefish around the Inlet and back in the sound where the warm water is. Down south the Drum bite has been off the hook for the last week or so. Offshore, Bluefin Tuna fishing has been steady with yellowfins in the mix. The gaffer Dolphin fishing should get going in a few weeks. All in all things are getting ready to bust wide open. With the warmer days and nights happening now, water temps are on the rise and fishing will get better and better.
