High Water

We had some pretty nasty thunderstorms in the area yesterday afternoon producing some tornadoes and damaging winds. At the boatyard, the water was really up . At one time it was under the Sea Hunter up by the street. We are planning to get out of the yard late in the week and back to the cove. Fishing Should continue to improve as the days get longer and warmer... George

Almost Ready to go fishin

I haven't posted anything in a while, but by the pictures you can see we have been very busy getting the Sea Hunter ready for the upcoming season. We will be back in action late next week. On the fishing front, the water is warming up and things are starting to happen all over. Bluefish are making a showing around the inlet, tilefish and seabass have been pretty consistent deep dropping, tunas and dolphin are being caught offshore . It should not be long before Cobia make there way here. More to come.... off to the boatyard

Images of Summer

Here are a few Pics to get you in the mood!!

What's Going on

Since my last post things have been about the same. The fishing continues to be a yo-yo with one day producing some fish and the next day with little or nothing. The bulk of the Stripers are up the road quite a ways still. I had a boat delivery to Isla Mujeres,Mexico a couple of weeks ago and got to do some Sailfishing just 4 miles from the dock. What an awesome fishery!

Now is the time to start making plans for the upcoming spring and summer fishing seasons. We are taking reservations so don't wait too long...... Give us a mailto:call@252-312-7858 to get rigged up. George

Holidays and Rock

We all hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. On the fishing front we have pushed back what trips we have had scheduled, some due to weather and others to the fish being a long ways up the road. The last week or so has produced catches of Big blues and rock mixed together up and down the beach from the shoals to the north, if you were in the right place at the right time. With this weeks cold temps and falling water temps there should be an increase of fish being seen closer than the 40+ miles or so some of the boats have gone. We have days open and if the weather is good in the next couple of weeks should be able to get out and get em'. give us a call 252-312-7858... capt. George

Boat Trip

I recently had the opportunity to help in a delivery of a 58' boat down to Ocean Reef just outside of Key Largo. The ride was good and the weather when we got there was prefect. WE did get a chance to do some flats fishing and go outside to catch some sailfish. WE were one for one on sails.
Back on the local scene it sounds like things are starting up. There is a good report of Rock in the sound and around Manns' Harbor and the Big Rock are starting to show sporadically around the inlet. With the cold weather there should be more activity to come.........
Duck season opens up again soon and the action should be good in weeks to come. We are taking reservations so don't miss out..........

Thanksgiving Week fishing

Things around the Beach this past week have only been fair at best. The inshore action was slow with only a scattered bluefish here and there and a couple of stripers to talk about. The offshore action was a scattered tuna bite and a few wahoo mixed in. I have had reports of a couple of large bodies of stripers up the sound and across the sound so maybe with the cooler weather finally getting here things will take a turn for the better.........
